Sizing A Tall Window
The listed dimensions are the actual dimensions of the shade, not a window recommendation. For an inside mount, the shade should measure about 1/4 in less than the window width so it clears the frame. For an outside mount, add 2 to 4 in to both the width and the height of the opening so the panel overlaps the trim and covers the edges.
Push, Pull, Stop
Operation is manual and cordless. A hand at the bottom rail raises or lowers the bamboo, and the shade holds wherever it is released, so light can be metered a few inches at a time. Nothing hangs beside the window, which removes the tangling hazard that loose cords create around small children and pets.
At Full Drop
Lowered all the way, the bamboo closes the window and darkens the room. A small gap stays above the top of the panel where the folds gather, and some daylight passes through it at the header. The opening sits high on the frame and does not expose the room to view from outside.
