UNISHADES
Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.
For an inside mount, measure the exact width and height of the window opening at three points and use the smallest number. Choose a shade equal to or slightly narrower than the opening. For an outside mount, add 2–3 inches on each side for better light blockage.
Most UNISHADES products mount with tension or clip-in brackets that grip the inside of the window frame — no screws, no holes, no tools. They remove just as cleanly, which makes them ideal for rentals.
Blackout fabrics block essentially all light — best for bedrooms and nurseries. Room-darkening blocks most light but allows a soft glow. Light-filtering fabrics let diffused daylight through while preserving privacy.
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or vacuum with a brush attachment. Spot-clean fabric shades with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap; wipe aluminum and faux-wood blinds with a damp cloth.
Yes — cordless operation is the recommended choice for homes with children and pets, since there are no dangling cords.
UNISHADES designs the shades; the checkout, the payment and the warehouse belong to our retail partners. The Shop Now button on every product page hands you to the partner listing for that exact size and color, and the order lives in that partner’s account from then on. Nothing on this site takes a payment.
Whatever the retail partner accepts at its own checkout — in practice the major cards plus the wallet options that partner supports. Because we never see card details, the payment page you land on is the authority on this, not us.
Only through the partner that took it, and only before the carton ships — use the order history in your partner account, where cancellation is usually one button. Writing to us cannot change an order we never received. If the label is already printed, nobody can pull the carton back off the truck anyway; take the delivery and send it back as a return, which is the faster route at that point.
Prices on this site are copied from partner listings and go stale between updates. The partner checkout is the real number. If the gap is large, the listing was probably repriced or a promotion ended since our last refresh.
Three to seven business days on standard service through the partner network, counted from when the carton leaves the warehouse rather than from checkout. See Shipping & Delivery for the full picture, including why long cartons sometimes arrive separately from the rest of an order.
Thirty days from delivery through partner return points, as long as the shade is unmounted and the hardware bag goes back in the carton. Details, including transit damage claims, are on the Returns & Exchanges page.
Yes, that is an ordinary return — a shade that never went on the wall is still resellable. Measuring mistakes are the most common reason shades come back, which is why the return window exists in the first place.
